GOES 2008

Now I am participating in Global Operational Excellence Symposium 2008 - the third one - in Miri, Sarawak - Borneo BIG Island. Something about Oil and Gas, history and nature. Miri is the 1st place in Malaysia, where oil was dicovered. Bezanya waktu itu, minyak dijumpai di darat - tidak jauh dari pantai. Tetapi kini semuanya di laut dalam. Why? I'll tell you later ;)

Today i fly from Kuantan to KLIA to Miri Airport. My 2nd time to Miri - something that I have been waiting for since my 1st visit was very-very short. 12 hours! with flight delay. Oh, it really makes me phobia! Tha's why I took afternoon flight today. To prevent from any crazy delay-fly-Uturn to KLIA-and re-fly at 1200-mid night. Teruk kan?

Tapi tidak hari ini. Perjalanan lancar dan tepat waktu... boleh makan lagi. Di atas awan ye... dulu tu bulan puasa, seksa aku menahan godaan nafsu. meleleh air liur tengok orang Iban sebelah tengah menjamu selera dalam flight. No respect! hehehe. biarlah dia orang makan. So aku tidur je..

Last time I slept in Marriot Miri for only 4 hours with full price. Now I'm staying in Mega Hotel - exactly in town.

Just now, i had dinner not so far from the hotel at Chillipepper Restaurant, and I tried local disches; Nasi Lelapan Talapia- yang boleh di pilih dari pelbagai sajian lain. Selain ikan ada juga ayam. Daging tak ada yer! Sila lihat gambar. It look simple as it taste, but it must be tried. I believe, we have to try any local Halal food wherever we go in this world. So it unites us with local taste and culture. Be open minded and ready to change. Then you will enjoy the trip. Beleive me!

So what our first agenda tomorrow? Mmmm we start with something interesting. Nature Discovery - visiting and dicover Niah Cave and its jungle.... Harap-harap tak hujan.

Spring in Kerteh.

These pics were snapped last week while waiting for Anis. Four of us went to beach for picnic. The fried beehon was hehehe... not bad lah

Yess! after almost 2 months without internet, my world was sooo small. And now... yeah yeah I can be connected to any where... to all my friends who can only be linked via this magical technology - internet.

Emmmmh! I miss you guys, the way you miss and love me... Kepada yang tertunggu-tunggu post terbaru, hangat di pasaran tu harap bersabar. InsyaAllah anda akan terhibur...

Malam ni sepatutnya aku tidur awal sebab esok ada rancangan menarik bersama adik-adik Trainee Min, Intan dan mugkin someone pun akan join juga.

What I did today? Emmh... quite nice activity, even though quite lonely since all my housemates are pampering them self with mum at their home, KL.
The activities were;

1. Wake-up at very early morning, 4.30 am since I slept earlier last night right after dinner with Bosh and Herl. Kepala pun agak sakit semalam - tension dengan macam-macam kerja. tak puas hati. Solat. Internet

2. Jogging at 8 am. Ditemani bayu pantai dan disaksikan burung-burung yang berkeliaran. Seronoks.

3. Then, lepak in front of TV. Terlayan movie Thai on Astro. Pukul 10.30 ke rumah my little trainee, Suhaimi and we went to Pasar Tani Kerteh. Beli makanan untuk sarapan dan ingredient for cooking. Dia lepak tengok Astro sambil makan-makan, aku pula tertidur kekeyangan kat dalam bilik. Sedar-sedar dah pukul 1 lebih, terus pergi Masjid.

4. After masjid aku hantar dia balik rumah yang kebetulan 'on the way' je. Ada hal la tu...

5. Mungkin kerana mengantuk bercampur bosan menuggu aku pula yang tertidur terlentang atas tilam empuk dalam bilik kesayangan ku... bila terjaga nampak kelibat manusia berbaju oren perlahan-lahan masuk bilik aku, menghampiriku lalu dengan penuh sopan santun tunduk ambil handphonenya yang tertinggal. Oppss! kain pelikat terselak.. huhuh.... sikit je ok!

" jadi ahh. jom"

"jap... sembahyang"

7pm at Pantai 'Telekom'

"Naik motor la boss" katanya

"Motor? mmm... lama giler tak naik motor, lebih-lebih lagi menumpang kat belakang. Ok gak. Jom!"

Brooooooooooommmm "waaa... macam zaman university pula, gi kelas selalu berteman-teman... seronok ah!"

Pertama kali aku ke pantai 'telekom' as named by my trainee, sebab dekat dengan pencawang Telekom. Katanya kat situ ramai orang mandi-manda termasuk aweks. Mmm.

5 min dah sampai pantai, kita orang terus join budak-budak trainee lain yang tengah mandi-manda di pantai. Ada juga yang lepak kat pantai jadi guard je... memandangkan aku memang dah lama teringin nak mandi laut, I felt so excited you know! hehehe. Dah la macam-macam lawak dan aksi di dalam air.

Sesudah puas dan we were wetting together!

Exploring Dungun Beaches: Part 2

Nampaknya lama sudah hamba tidak meluangkan masa mencoretkan perjalanan hidup ini untuk tatapan kalian, walaupun banyak peristiwa menarik untuk di kongsi bersama. Tetapi apakan daya, masa tidak mengizinkan. Banyak perkara penting yang harus diselesaikan secepat mungkin. Maklumlah, sekarang ni aku bukan saja berkerja sebagai Jurutera tapi nampaknya mula berjinak-jinak dengan kerja mengajar budak-budak sekolah selain menjaja kuih ke segenap kampung. Oppss tidak! that's not my way..

Oh! sebelum terlanjur jauh dari niat sebenar memblog hari ni, actually I want to continue with my story about exploring Dungun, end of last April 2007. Have you ever heard about this beautiful hidden beach in Dungun, Terengganu? The name of the beach is Teluk Bidara, a jogging distance from Tanjung Jara. Kenapa tak namakan Tanjung Bidara? Emmm...I think the reason is to prevent confusion because there is a real Tanjung Bidara somewhere in west coast.

Oorite! If you have read the previous post on Exploration of Tanjung Jara by 3 young Engineer, you should spend sometime to read this one and must go there to experiance it by yourself. Recommended by me if you are a kind of person whom appreciate the beauty of nature, heritage and other people life style. Kenali lah tempat sendiri seperti kenali diri anda dahulu sebelum kenali orang di sekeliling anda.

Dari Jalan utama Dungun-KT menuju ke kuala Sungai Dungun melalui jalan lama mengelilingi bukit nan indah. I believe it was my first time using that road, something new experience. Some hidden beauty is there waiting for you guys.

Panorama on the right side during the journey on the road. Is that mega structure? Then, you can see about hundreds of fishing boats floating on the river.

Setibanya kami di situ...Edd & Ash, masing-masing berbaju putih dan kuning dah jauh ke depan. Aku masih mencari shoot yang menarik... seperti biasa!

Closer and closer..time ni kami bertiga dah mula basahkan kaki dengan air laut yang memang jernih dan bersih sangat. Menyesal pula rasa tak bawa pakaian mandi. Cemburu tengok budak-budak dan remaja seronok mandi-manda. Aku mesti datang lagi lain kali - mesti mandi. Kerana aku agak beria-ria nak masuk ke dalam gua tu, semua ikut saja. Beberapa orang aweks tengah bermain di atas batu ketika itu. Agaknya student Uitm. Aku sempat melemparkan senyuman apabila mereka memandang, mungkin teruja melihat aku dengan mood ceria giler.

Daulat Tuanku! May Allah Bless His Majesty's Reign

Another historical day in 2007 - on The Installation of His Majesty The Yang Dipertuan Agong XIII - Malaysia's New King & Queen.

...and a very relaxing public holiday and quite historical for me too since it was my first visiting and exploration of Dungun's beaches. A very unique hidden fishing village and beautiful beaches at last was explored by 3 young explorer; Ash, Eddie and I. And also a first time relaxing at this wonderful resort!


It was actually started when brother Eddie was searching for honey moon places in internet last night. Tanjung Jara Resort is one of the best places that we put in list, since we have been listening about that resort - one of the most beautiful resort in Malaysia, and I believe not only in Malaysia because I have met a foreign couple going to Tanjung Jara from Europe last month in KL-KT flight. She is from Finland and her boyfriend - or may be her husband - is from Austria. We sat together on the same row of seats and talked about everything!

For Eddie, surveying for honeymoon was the main reason for visiting Tanjung Jara, but for me there was another reason for going there - to explore the architecture of the award winning resort, designed by one of the creative Malaysian, YM Raja Bahrain, who I believe -as far as I know- very passionate about Malay architecture. Let's see what I have taken for you...

Reception area, viewed from swimming pool area..kaya dengan senibina Melayu. Tampak unggul dan berseri dangan hiasan tiang batu dan ukiran halus menghias bumbung bercirikan Terengganu lama.

If you have watched Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam-an international award winning Malay Horror movie, this resort is one of the location used for shooting, where Maya (Maria) met Azri Iskandar at night. Another international award winning film, Spinning Gasing also was film at this resort.

Aku terpikat dengan senibina batu menuju ke swimming pool..tegap dan kuat. Lambang kepahlawanan Melayu - agaknya.

Wow! So blue, man..can't you see? I love it! Begitu teruja, kalau boleh tanggal baju nak terjun terus..hehehe
